Estate Gifts

Please consider a one-time or on-going gift from your estate.  Our passion is to preserve the stories of our county’s history for subsequent generations, and an estate gift can ensure you partner with us into the future.

The Washington County Museum is a 501c3 organization and your membership and financial gifts are tax deductible as allowed by law.

Volunteers

Consider volunteering your skills and time to the Washington County Museum.  Whether you want to help a little bit or a lot, we have plenty of ideas.  Have tools and like doing repair projects?  We have a group of folks that gather on Wednesday mornings for coffee, donuts and a couple hours of handyman work.  Like hosting events and making cookies?  We need those too. Do you like kids and want to help with school tours? Or do you have an old-time skill that you can demonstrate to kids?  Feel free to contact us and discuss where you’d like to get involved.  You don’t need to commit to weekly volunteer work.  We need occasional helpers too!

The Women’s Guild is in place to support the efforts of the Washington County Museum.  These volunteers meet monthly, work on projects for the museum, help at museum events, and bake a lot of pies and cookies.  We love our Women’s Guild!  If you want to be a part of a regular volunteering group, this might be of interest to you.  Call us for more information.

Corporate Donations and Employee Matching Gifts

Corporations who wish to support the mission of preserving the history of Washington County may partner with the Washington County Museum with financial gifts and employee matching programs. We are a 501c3 charitable organization, and your contribution is tax-deductible according to the law.  If there are specific projects that are in line with your company’s community engagement goals, funds may be designated for that purpose.  Call us to discuss your ideas.

If you work for an organization that has a matching funds program, please consider supporting the Washington County Museum with your gift.
