The Washington County Historical Association Board of Directors will hold a Special Meeting on: Date: Thursday, August 28, 2025Time: 5:00 PMLocation: Washington County Historical MuseumHighway 75 at 14th & MonroeFort Calhoun, Nebraska This meeting has been called in accordance with Article I, Section 3 of the Association’s By-Laws at the request of five Board Members.

2025 Annual Meeting

The annual meeting of the Museum Board of Directors is scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 5 pm. Election of new board members and recognition of outgoing board members. Review of proposed budget. Meeting agenda HERE.

Construction Update

Construction on the outside our new exhibit room is done! We are now working on the interior exhibit room, projected to be ready by fall, 2025. This new exhibit room will feature the Hugh and Jane Hunt vintage radio collection, consisting of almost 400 radios from the 1930s and 1940s. It is considered to

Long Creek School

The 1877 Long Creek School has been renovated and is ready for use! The school can accommodate up to 50 people, has heat/AC, electricity and a sound system. Consider the schoolhouse for your next event, corporate meeting, anniversary, reunion or party. We welcome photographers who wish to use a historic backdrop for their photo shoots.
